I have discovered something new and you’re going to love it.
When I say new, it’s actually quite old now. It all started in 2000 according to www.geocaching.com when the technology became available to track objects by their specific GPS location.
I’m talking about the worldwide treasure hunt known as Geocaching. To play along you download the app, set about walking and try to find hidden capsules along the way. In these capsules you find little bits of treasure or nik naks, then either swap something or place your own in for somebody else to find! You often find a piece of paper where you can write the date you found the capsule and your username from the app.
Not only is this a fun activity but it gets you out and about in your local area or even further afield, if you’re willing to travel. I was surprised at how many of these I have walked past, without even noticing them!
Just look at the beautiful scenery I have come across thanks to tracking these objects…
